I can’t believe this is the last day of this year’s (we’ll hope for more next year) 12 Days of Christmas blog with stories, inspiration and deals at yancynotnancy.com. I hope you and yours are having a blessed Christmas season. I’ve had a fun week of being a part of an outreach my church does at the mall “Free gift wrap” for everyone. A great way to show love to those who might never walk into church doors. I got to lead worship for our senior high students at church. Yesterday worked on some production items for my Christmas concert I’m doing next weekend filled with you guessed it: Christmas music. Last night I attended my first Christmas party. Thankfully I have a few more on the calendar for next week so I’m pumped. It’s always fun to gather with family and friends over some grub and just talk. It’s so exciting thinking that we are less than two weeks away till the official day of Christmas.
The Day 12 special is going to last all weekend long. (‘Cause I’m generous like that.) So, through Monday 12-14-09 order the “Rock-N-Happy CD Combo” and save $5. This combo is 2 CD’s: “Rock-N-Happy Heart” and “Rock-N-Happy Dance Party Remix” normally $20 but with the coupon code: day12five you will save $5.00 and get both CD’s for only $15. It’s a great gift for any elementary or preteen kid on your shopping list or to just round out your Yancy music collection. The combo is listed under the remix CD HERE Hurry, this offer will expire at the end of Monday 12-14-09.
The last song on the record is called “The Greatest Gift”. I heard the song a couple years ago on a CD called “Jingle Jam”. (Which is a great, fun Christmas CD by the way. Download it at http://www.amberskyrecords.com ) Anyways, I heard the song and really fell in love with it. I immediately had the song on my list of songs I wanted to record. I’m excited that there are radio stations around the country playing the song this Christmas. If you would call your local Christian radio station requesting the song that would be great, just saying 🙂 “The Greatest Gift” tells the story of Jesus’ birth and the ultimate Gospel message of John 3:15 “For God so loved the word that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” That is the greatest gift we could ever receive. That is the story of Christmas. Don’t forget to share that story with those that need to hear it this season and always.
Today while I’m cleaning my house and wrapping some presents I’m gonna pop in one of my favorite movies “Miracle on 34th Street” the new version from the 90’s. I love the little girl in it and it’s one of the first times I saw the actor Dylan McDermott. I’ve always loved this Christmas flick and try to pop it in every year. I hope your Christmas is merry and bright. Talk to you soon.
