Yesterday, I received a Christmas card in the mail that flooded my mind with memories. Five years ago I got to travel to Romania and go to a new place and meet some special people. Alot of my time was spent with the girls at Casa Josef. They themselves orphans but through Christ’s love and a group of warm hearted people are filled with joy each day. Although it’s sad that due to Romania’s laws preventing adoptions I see five years later the home environment hasn’t changed for this group of girls…I loved seeing a more grown up version of each girl I fell in love with during my visit. It was Christmastime so the girls received presents and we did Christmas activities including a Christmas program where I got the chance to perform along with the girls singing “Jingle Bells.”
Yesterday, I was reminded how blessed I am. How thankful I am for my family. And I was reminded of how God orders our steps and one opportunity leads to another opportunity. In this case it was the chance for me to travel around the world and go meet this special group of girls. This Christmas and for the end of the year if you’re looking for a place to give I would highly recommend the work that http://www.remm-ministry.org is doing. I myself will be sending them a check.
May your days be filled with wonderful memories of how God has been good to you. He is the greatest gift and He is the giver of every good thing. He has a plan for all of our tomorrows and todays!
