This past week my son has become so excited about “my church”. He recognizes it as we pass by on the road. When we turn in the parking lot he immediately shouts “my church”. He asks to go to his class. He even talks about some of his favorite friends from church throughout the week. My son is 27months. This week, my heart is grateful that I have a son that doesn’t feel dragged to church and that he has to go.
If you’ve read some of my past posts then you know one of my favorite parts about what I do is writing songs that people are able to sing. Especially since those songs are filled with scripture and worship helping connect that person to God. I LOVE that part of what I do. The past two years I’ve had the awesome opportunity to write, produce and perform songs for Standard Publishing’s VBS.
Hi to all of Texans out there.
I have a couple long time friends starting a new church called The City Life in Frisco, TX. Adam and Ruthie Sanders are from Tulsa, OK and Victory Christian Center. They are looking for singers, musicians and even some dancers to take the worship team to another level! If you’re in the area and interested in getting involved in this church plant learn more by calling 918-810-2375 or visiting www.thecitylifechurch.tv
Yancy travels to churches and does family concerts or special events for preteen and elementary kids. She can even do preschool stuff too. If you’re looking for a great event to bring families together and give them an opportunity to worship a Yancy event is perfect. This fall she’ll be in a few areas and has some open dates. If one of these are in your area you should consider it cause it’s a great time to SAVE big on expenses since she’s already in your area.
My heart is full. I had a great weekend out on the road. I went to 3 different churches that all had staff members I’ve known for a very long time. It was so great to see familiar faces even if some I had not seen in years. I did a couple family concerts, a college event and a preschool concert. Here’s a picture of me and Bella. A three year old that just might be the biggest Yancy fan ever.
