One of the things this summer I’m looking forward to is CMX. The Children’s Ministry Expo. Last year was it’s inaugural year and it was a fun time. (Not to mention I turned 30 there and told my parents I was going to have a baby!) This year will be ever bigger and better…I’m going back and bringing baby Sparrow along with me. Here’s all the official details:

CMX (www.cmxpo.com) has now released the 2011 schedule for the Children’s Ministry Expo in Lexington, KY July 6th and 7th. Wow!

Not only are there 3 tracks – Leadership, Basic and Special Needs
— but the workshop leaders are a virtual Who’s Who of children’s ministry. And of course you see the biggest lineup of resources in kidmin.

New this year!

Kidz Blitz will be conducting a 60 minute FX Live in the exhibit hall highlighting some of the popular features of this family experience.

Jim Wideman is heading up a Kidmin Genius Bar with his Infuse coaches to provide free diagnostics/repairs for whatever is ailing your children’s ministry.

The new Pre Expo hours (Wednesday, July 6th 6p-10p) give you a chance to check out resources and visit Jim’s Genius Bar before the rush.

Five special needs champions lead a track designed to educate and inspire churches who are in the development phase and the progressed stages of special needs related programs.

Roger Fields, this year’s MC, will have some surprises.

Learn from these kidmin specialists: Greg Baird, Dr. Alyssa Barnes, Tina Bryson, Michael Chanley, Jeremy Collins, Coach D, Ken Dovey, Amy Fenton Lee, Roger Fields, Jenny Funderburke, Katie Garvert, Harmony Hensley, Dale Hudson, Tony Kummer, Jim Marshall, Gina McClain, Jolene Philo, Karen Rhodes, Michelle Romain, Justyn Smith, Jim Wideman and Yancy.
