One of my favorite things to do is to create resources that churches can use. Seriously, it brings me so much joy to write, dream, and create songs, videos, and more that churches can use to
reach people. It’s one of the most fulfilling and fruitful things that I do. Media is an every day part of a kid’s world, and there are a lot of creative and engaging tools out there that the church can use to help reach kids. Why do churches worship the same way every week? Why only use the same elements in your services? One of the places I turn to when I need creative elements to add to one of my concert events or the student ministry service I serve on a creative team at my church is WorshipHouse Kids and it’s sister site, WorshipHouse Media. Whether you’re looking for a song video with live lyrics or need a countdown, this is the place. There are also many short videos that can take the place of a live drama and help you underline your teaching point and illustrate the theme you’re talking about. You can use these videos as an intro to your teaching too. I especially love the seasonal content they offer. I’ve used their materials at Easter and Christmas and have some personal favorites like one titled What Is Christmas About. Yes, ’tis the season to start thinking about Christmas!
Aside from being a customer of WorshipHouse, I have been so blessed to partner with WorshipHouse Kids over the past few years as a producer to sell ALL of my song videos (both the live lyric style videos from my albums “Jesus Music Box”, “Rock-N-Happy Heart”, etc., the animated/cartoon style “Little Praise Party” videos, and the worship transition videos of “Connect the Dots” I released this year as a tool for leading worship.) The best part is you can download these videos anytime. 24/7 you can search and preview content, find what fits your need and then download it and have it ready for your next service. I am really grateful to have won their customer choice award the past two years, too, for the most downloaded kids products. Woo hoo! Awards are cool, but thinking of the lives represented watching and singing along to those videos is what will make you want to do a happy dance. I truly love helping equip churches to reach people. I’m so grateful for how WorshipHouse Kids is helping do that very thing. They help me make the videos available to you through their site. If you have never visited their site, I encourage you to check it out. Enter in a keyword you’re going to be talking about or teaching….see what content they have to help you step up your programming and production. I think you’ll like what you find.
In a few weeks I’ll be starting this year’s SuperStart tour. It’s a two-day event for preteen students. I’m happy to say that WorshipHouse Kids is one of my tour sponsors helping make it possible for me to do these events. Please help me say thank you to them for their support by logging on and downloading a video or two or three. It’s important that we put our best foot forward as we share Jesus with kids and families. Using media, video, story, and creative visuals will help you step up your game. It all goes back to lives impacted with the gospel. Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38, “A large crop is in the fields, but there are only a few workers. Ask the Lord in charge of the harvest to send out workers to bring it in.” There are thousands to be touched with the love of Jesus. We need to go and use all available tools to gather the harvest before us.
