Last weekend I got to experience one of the world’s greatest treasures for the Christian faith. Angus Buchan is his name. He is from South Africa. You may have heard his story before through the film “Faith Like Potatoes”. He does huge rallies all over the world and He had his first USA men’s event last weekend sponsored by my church here in Murfreesboro, TN. I encourage you to check him out. I think your faith will definitely be challenged as mine has been. I wanted to share with you some of the notes I took last week during the three services I attended where he spoke.

My notes:
“Our reach must exceed our grasp.” -Oswald Chambers
Some people are getting so clever that people can’t understand you.
The rest of the world is coming to sow back what the USA sowed into them. (Jesus)
The past is prologue (the future)
A need does not justify a call.
Only do what God tells you to do!
The bible is the absolute directive
Revelations 2:2-
Nevertheless I have this against you…you’ve left your first love.
The work you’re doing has separated me from you.
You don’t want your lampstand removed!
A good idea is not always a God idea.
Sometimes you’re in the wrong field.
Sometimes the farmer cuts the crop too early.
Be obedient.
Fall in love with the man from Galilee.
Commitment to the call.
Don’t forget your prologue.

John 20:30-31 the Bible is for:
Believe in Jesus Christ
Increase your faith
1 John 5:7 the word! Don’t tamper it
Acts 2:1-4
Mandate: official instruction from God
John 16:50 go into all the world
Shepherds don’t give birth to sheep
Sheep give birth to lambs.
Shepherd look after them!
It’s our job to preach the gospel, not our pastor’s.
Don’t put God in a box. Don’t pull Him out just when you need Him.
The Holy Spirit is alive, He is moving!
The eyes of The Lord run to and fro throughout the earth.
He is a jealous God. It’s all or nothing! You can’t serve two masters!
He used to spend his time writing sermons
Now he spends his time praying……then it comes out!
We need the power of the Holy Spirit with us!
Change begins at home. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God!
Pray God will give you a hunger for His word!
Don’t turn the tv on until you’ve spent time with God!

Every believer has a testimony….needs to tell their story
Your testimony should be 95%about what’s happened since you’ve gotten saved. Otherwise if you only talk about BC you’re glorifying the devil’s power that was over your life!
Acts 6:
Don’t underestimate your story.
The more you share the stronger you get.
The less you share the weaker you get.
Keep telling them what Jesus means to you!
Preachers: Have bread that’s fresh! Not just bread from long ago!
Your testimony has got to be REAL.
Sometimes people don’t need a scripture, they need a hug, they need you to cry with them!
They want to see fire in your eyes and joy in your face!
Don’t be a mopey Christian. You’re insulting Christ when you go around complaining!
Your testimony is lifestyle.
That’s what Paul did.
1 Peter 5:7
You need to get going telling your story…it’s the one on ones (not the big rallies)
Revival is perpetuated by you.
If it’s not happening inside of you-you can’t fake it!
