Made popular by Hillsong Worship. This song is a beautiful declaration of what God has already said about us . The musical landscape sets the tone for this powerful confession of scripture: “Who the son sets free is free indeed. I’m a child of God, yes, I am.” Bringing her on fresh spin to Hillsong’s “Who You Say I Am” Yancy says: “I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. » Read more
I am grateful for all the friends in ministry I made along the way through doing VBS music for Standard Publishing. Again, this year I received many requests of churches wanting to include my songs into their VBS. I went through and made a list of the songs from my catalog that seemed like a good fit for the theme, content and teaching of many publisher’s VBS curriculum. Here is my full list of song suggestions.
Worship Leader Magazine has recently published their Winter 2018 issue with a focus on children and worship. Yancy put pen to paper to write a featured article in the issue. In addition you’ll find articles by Dave Wakerley (Hillsong Kids), Seeds Family Worship and others. We are excited for the focus on kids worship in this issue and pray that it will lead to many great conversations in churches between Worship Pastors,
I had started dipping my toe in creating music for kids before, but it was ten years ago this month that I went all in…100% in my commitment to making music for kids.
Preteens (ages 8-12) have always been a huge focus of my musical direction and I made “Rock-n-Happy Heart” for them. I was coming off a rough season where I had experienced heartbreak in my life, testing of my faith and refining by fire. » Read more
We want to say a big congrats to Brooke Ligertwood and Ben Fielding who wrote “What A Beautiful Name”. Their worship song won a Grammy Award this year which is a big deal in music. How incredible and appropriate that a song about the name of Jesus won such a prestigious award.
If you haven’t heard Yancy’s version of “What A Beautiful Name” yet now is the time. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/2EJYqwa

Dear friends and ministry partners,
I can’t believe we will soon be turning the page on 2017 and beginning the next chapter of 2018. Reflecting on the year it has been full of life, ministry and family. My boys have been keeping me busy. Sparrow is almost 7 and Rhythm is now 17 months. My word for 2017 was “yield”. I have slowed down (for me) a bit. I spent some extra time at home and counted my many blessings and ways I’ve seen God move and perform miracles over the past twenty years.
Many of you may or may not realize that Yancy Ministries is a non-profit. Your support makes a difference for us. We make music for kids. Those songs and videos are literally sung and used around the world. It would not be possible without the help of people like you. For Giving Tuesday and as we near the end of 2017 and you consider year end offerings please consider partnering with us. Your gifts allow us to work on new materials to put out there for kids,
